Our Alternative to Care service comprises three shared houses across Torbay and Teignbridge. The service aims to offer accommodation-based support, to enable people to build on the skills they need to be able to live independently, or as independently as possible.
We work with each person to put together a support plan tailored for them.
We ensure people feel valued and respected during their time with us. Each one of our houses has its own individual style and offers different levels of support.
Keyberry Road is a five bedroom house for both men and women.
The house has a communal lounge and a quiet room for people to use with their friends and family. Keyberry has a kitchen, together with large gardens at both the front and back of the house.
Dendy Road is our four bedroom house for both men and women, situated in the centre of Paignton. The property has off road parking.
The house has a homely feel, with a communal lounge, as well as a kitchen, and bathrooms. The house offers a very structured service, with planned group activities taking place regularly. These range from cooking, dog walking, bowling, and a breakfast club., as well as one-to-one sessions.
Steepway comprises a five bedroomed house and two self-contained flats within the grounds.
The house offers disabled access and wash room on the ground floor, and separate toilet and bathroom on first floor, with a large family feel communal kitchen and lounge.
The flats, both offer one double on suite bedroom, with open plan kitchen and lounge, set in our large maintained gardens.
We are able to provide an enhanced service at Steepway, depending on the needs of each person. Staff are able to stay in the accommodation at Steepway themselves so that they can provide short periods of extra support.
